Atlas is the member directory and community platform for North Star, a non-profit AI and robotics community based in Belgium (ns2agi.com). By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
Your account
You must be at least 16 years old to use Atlas.
Provide accurate information. Don't impersonate other people, organisations, or roles.
You're responsible for what happens under your account; keep your credentials safe.
One account per person.
Membership tiers
Member (free) — open to anyone, with a self-selected Student or Professional track.
Patron (€10/month) — opt-in supporter tier. Auto-renews monthly via Mollie until cancelled.
Exceptional — recognition tier granted by invitation, not application.
Membership perks (events, channels, programming) are described on the membership page and may evolve over time.
Patron subscription
The first €10 charge happens at sign-up; subsequent charges happen every month on the same date.
You can cancel any time from your account or by emailing us — cancellation stops future charges and you keep Patron status until the end of the paid period.
We don't offer pro-rated refunds for the current month, but if something is wrong, write to us and we'll make it right.
If we change Patron pricing or perks materially, we'll notify you before your next renewal.
Acceptable use
Don't use Atlas to:
Send spam, scrape the directory, or harvest member data for unrelated commercial purposes.
Harass, threaten, or impersonate others.
Post unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit content.
Break the platform — no exploits, no rate-limit evasion, no reverse-engineering of paid features.
Reaching out to fellow members about relevant collaborations, hires, or events is welcome — that's the point.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post (profile, contributions, posts). You grant North Star a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content within Atlas and in related community channels (e.g. summaries shared with other members or in our newsletter), as long as you remain a member. If you delete your account, this licence ends and we remove your content according to our privacy policy.
Suspension and termination
We can suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, in particular for harassment, fraud, or abuse. You can close your account at any time from your profile or by emailing us.
Service provided as-is
We do our best to keep Atlas running and the data accurate, but we provide it “as-is” without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, North Star is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of Atlas. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Belgian law (e.g. for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or harm to consumers' statutory rights).
Governing law
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Any disputes will be brought before the courts of Antwerp, Belgium, unless mandatory consumer-protection rules grant you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material, we'll notify members by email before it takes effect. Continued use of Atlas after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
